Sony Alpha Remote

i am very much a newbie considering buying a sony alpha as i have some existing Minolta lenses.

i have been using a camcorder for stills (sorry) and would like to continue using the infra red remote facility that i have become used to on the camcorder.

only a cabled remote seems to be available for the alpha.

any suggestons?

i could only find the remote with cable Sony's RMS1AM Remote Commander® Control for DSLRA100 α™ (alpha) Digital SLR Camera

no luck with IR remote
