Sony a99

Good morning everyone,

I just wondered what peoples thoughts were on the a99 and whether it's still a reliable performer? I can't decide whether to move to mirrorless a7/a7r from an a77 or move to the full frame a99. I have a couple of full frame lenses so the outlay would be cheaper for the a99.

Any advice?

I'd think it would be. It has been out several years now though. Have you got the a77ii or the original a77? If the former the a77ii is well worth looking at too. I was idly thinking about an A99 as one appeared on Ffordes but went before I'd finished umming and ahhing.

I have the original a77. I considered the a77ii but thought for the extra maybe the FF would be better. How much was the one on ffordes at the time?

£900 odd I think. I'd definitely check out the a77ii. You can get a brand new a77ii for that money.

There might be an A99ii out before Xmas. It will be expensive, but the price of the A99, new & 2nd hand, will drop.
