You've made 5 in 7 years so it may take you a while :-)

You don't need to wait 60 days as you've been a member for 7 years, but you do need to contribute.
 
yes joined a long time ago when I first got a camera but didn't really get into it
but now I have got the urge and saved up for some better equipment

Access to certain parts of the forum is restricted to new members, some of whom just wanted to scam people via the classified system, . As you've been a member for some time, you just need to rack up the required post count, which you should be able to do with some questions. Don't just post 'nice shot' on a whole load of different posts.

yep, that's why it's termed meaningful posts, management reserve the right to remove non-meaningful stuff like "nice shot"...

you could also try not to post comments like that, even in jest, as we'll get loads of reports that you're just spamming for classified access now, and we'll have to look into everything you post - which is a PITA for us, and probably will cause you to lose a few posts into the bargain...

best advice is to simply just participate in the forum for a couple of days. Join in, do something... don't just do it as a way to get access to the classifieds - this place is WAY more than just an alternative to fleabay/gumtree

Count yourself very lucky the classified requirements are so extremely low here. On another forum I use it was 1000 posts and a year before you could access them.

Does pretty much kill scammers dead though!
