Hello, I'm currently using a canon 60d which as you may know uses ef-s lens', my most used being the 10-18mm.

Now it looks like a Sony a7 may be coming my way with a kit lens, I will eventually purchace the 17-?? Wide angle FE lens but I'm just not ready to spend £1000+ just quite yet.

So what I really want to know is how my efs 10-18 would work on the a7 using a good quality lens adapter in the meantime... What would be the actual focal length? Would I encounter much vignetting? Etc..

Thanks in advance for your help.

You maybe better off getting replies if you ask your question on the Sony A7 thread. > https://www.talkphotography.co.uk/t...-ii-owners-thread.511885/page-77#post-6765201

The lens will have vignetting, wether the crop mode on the A7 will work with an EFS lens Im not sure, it works with native though.

I saw a video sample of the 10-18 on the a7 and it had very bad aliasing, is that something that could be a problem for stills? As I understand it, aliasing is jagged diagonal lines right?

Nope, there are copies available on Ebay that are much cheaper.

Crikey you are right, can be had for under £70. Watched a video review though and AF was like using liveview on a DSLR. Certainly makes the lenses fully usable for landscapes and portraits I guess.
