No
seen this new at £200
is it worth the money, is there an alternative for 18-200 at similar cost?

i'm thinking of an a350
so it's either a350 with lens kit 18-70 @ £400 (minus £50 cash back)
=£350

or a350 body @ £350 (minus £50 cash back) i think it applies to body only too
plus 18-200 @ £200
= £500

is it worth the extra £150?

i'm currently getting rid of my 18-55, 55-200 nikon kit and it's annoying to have to swap lens, for general walking about use.

so thinking to stump up the £150 difference now

i have the sigma 18-200 on my canon and i am very pleased as a general walkabout lens all i did was google the lens for some test shots and that made my mind up

how much are the equivalent tamron or sigma's?

thanks.

anyone got this lens?

I don't know whether fabs has shares in Warehouse Express or something, but you don't need to pay those prices.

For what it's worth, the OS version of the Sigma 18-200 is a much better lens than the standard version. But it's also a fair bit more expensive.

:lol: Not at all. It was just supposed to be a guide. I just find it easy to look up lenses on their site especially as they list them by "fit". I'm still surprised to see them so undercut by Jessops though.

Actually, having looked at Stewart's links, Camera World don't appear to do it in Sony/Minolta fit. That's one hell of a discount code as Jessops have it at £299 on their site! Or am I missing something.

i would think £299 is for the os version

all a bit confusing, but think for the money i'll stick with the sony version.

as a newbie, i'm with fabs, it's hard as not many places list them as 'fit' for sony etc.

these were taken with the sigma just to give an idea of what the sony would be able to do i personally am very happy with my sigma
