Daily Sonriendo's 365 - Finished and thank flickerty for that :D

Very nice Sarah, I would be tempted to crop this a little bit from the top and bottom though, maybe remove the bottom part of the wall up to the first line, unless the little heart on the wall is integral to the image and then a little from the top & maybe remove the red post in the background. The little girl however looks nice and natural.

I wanted to keep it at 3x4 for printing purposes - Might try it landscape when I get home though - naughtily sneaking on at work here ;)

Sarah.. Portrait is spot on for me... Face is where id expect something like this pose. Love the light And airy feel. Well done.

LOL, suppose if the spaces in the Album are for standard sizes, you have to keep to them. Anyway, if I was the parent, I would be happy with that :)

Let's hope they are - I can only pick faults

Thanks Kevin :)

I really like the pulley wheel - love old, rusted bits of junk!!

I see where you are coming from with your self criticism of the Bee Eater, but you did a great job - as Cobra said, we can see it's shape and those amazing colours and it's SO hard to capture fast birds - I have problems with flipping Sparrows for goodness sake!! :D

You have done a lovely job with Amaya, if it were not for your follow up comments about the printing I would 100% agree with a little crop at the bottom to remove some of the wall, but I also think it's because the wall is so light that it kind of looks bigger! However, it doesn't overly detract from a really great portrait!

Thanks Sam - I've missed you around ;)

Hmmm, perhaps I will crop her down then and see how it goes :)

So, last night I was watching the bee eaters from my kitchen window, swooping about over my field, when suddenly I saw one go down on to the bank between my field and my neighbours. Carried on watcing it and didn't see it come up again.

A quick google and they live in burrows :D So, this morning I took a short stroll and look what I've got :D

Am now completely worried that I'm turning into a "twitcher" and have developed a very unhealthy interest in camoflauge netting :D

Brilliant
Fingers crossed for baby Bee Eaters

That's a really beautiful portrait of Amaya, Sarah.

The burrows are really cool, too. You know... I haven't seen so much as a pigeon in forever.

Very Cool Sarah !!

Thanks

But indeed, it would be a buzz :p wouldn't it?

Enough already :D

We wait with anticipation on future Bee news and photographs :D

I'm very excited - can you tell :D

Thanks Toni, just got to hope that with all this build up I manage to get at least one decent shot :D

Excellent news & I found this site for you :)

http://www.ecamo.co.uk/camouflage-nets.html

Oh my - a dedicated site - it makes buying decisions very complicated - wonder if I'll need face paint too :D

Just saw this on the front page as I am waiting for photoshop to load another load of pics from Sunday, and wow Sarah you lucky thing, nothing so interesting round here at the moment :(
Good luck hope you get some decent pics

I know - I'm just consulting with the "real" twitchers as to what my plan of action should be :D

Awww Amaya is very pretty...

The bee eaters tho.. burrows? how cool.. :D:D

i think we all want to see you decked out in camo lol:lol::lol:

Wow - that is great news (as long as you don't have a load of bunnies down there, although if they are Meerkat burrows that would be bloody amazing!!!)

Now, you need the hide, the camo jacket and trousers, the face paint and the commode chair (which is good news if you are on a budget, becuae the trousers then become an optional extra) and I can tell you now......the SPs of you in full BeeBirdy gear will fill each and every filler you need!!!:lol::lol::eek:

Consulting with 'real' twitchers? You understand, I hope, that it will cost you a lot of money?!! Not just in face paint. Let me know how your big-ass lens works out for you! :D

Thanks Sam :D Meercats would certainly give the dogs something to think about

Now, fortunately my collander is sort of olive green, I'm sure with a bit of foliage I can sort something out there :D Not sure about the comode though I wasn't really planning on taking it that seriously more an in and out sniper shot I thought :D

Finally got around to posting what Ive taken - sorry for the delay.

Panorama from the steps down into my field. I took this so that I could label it up and show the twitchers where the bee eaters are in relation to every thing else. Intending to take a photo of what looked like it was going to be a glorious sunset for my 365. But I had a "bit of a turn" and woke up at about 11.30 :shrug So, you'll have to make do with this ;)

I've got a bit of a flower bed in the middle of the garden with cacti planted some are bog ugly - but I'm scared to dig the nasty prickly things out and some are OKish but when they bloom I realise they ought to stay :)

Today :D Feel free to gloat ;)

Intending to take a photo of what looked like it was going to be a glorious sunset for my 365. But I had a little too much of the cooking sherry, again, and it gave me a "bit of a turn" and woke up at about 11.30 :shrug

You really should be more careful, you know - that stuff can give you the shakes and then you'll never get a good bee eater shot!

I like your panarama - loads of flat with great bit hills - looks like Lincolnshire met the Lake District and they just decided to stick together! :D

 Strangely there's not a lot of sherry for sale in many of the supermarkets here - guess it's the wrong region - but it was a school night :D

And well you might - today not being a school day there has been consumption of beer - with the mamá of Amaya - and there will be wine with dinner :D:D:D

ETA due to techinical (hic) difficulties there will be no POTD posted today either :D

So, Doris got rejected by the girlies and we've settled for Daisy. She has dragged this from the recycling/charity shop pile and like to use it for snoozing on
