Been a while now since the last Sonos posts and a lot has changed with them since, so thought I'd start a new post.

I've been looking at a soundbar system for my TV in lounge for a while. Found the B&W Panorama 2, Yamaha YSP-3300 and then the Sonos popped up. The latter seems to be less spec than the others but Sonos could add me more functionality. Got me thinking about a house sound system!

Anyway, I was wondering how many on here are using Sonos, or still using it that had it in the past and how many gave up.

I have a good home network and iPad so was thinking about getting something like a B&W A7 as well, but want to take this opertunity to move towards my 'end game' of having a full system.

Please let me know your thoughts.

I use it and love it.

Currently have three of the ZonePlayers (Connect:Amp now?) and two Play:3 units.

One of the Amps is switched to provide music to our bedroom and/or the ensuite.

The dedicated Sonos controllers are now discontinued and I bought an iPod v4 to run as a dedicated controller with my iPads and iPhone for adhoc use.

I like the interface now - it has grown up and will also allow you to play the music on your iDevice through the system.

My only wish? that the Sonos Amp had a build in DAB radio for better quality than the streamed internet radio which is a fantastic selection but poorer quality

Have a look at Apple Airplay/Airport Express, a lot cheaper, control with phone/ipad/windows and does the most of what sonus does, but costs me £70 a room :)

Sonos is superb, works every time. Has its own closed wireless network that means that there are no dropouts. Also great for hiding in cupboards and connecting to ceiling speakers!

That's right Jim.

Bedroom one is in the wardrobe and feeds the ceiling speakers in both there and the bathroom :D

We have one powering speakers in our bedroom and another one doing similar in the kitchen. We have 5 zones in all and it's pretty much seamless!

Cheers all. Just realised I'd not subscribed to this thread!
