Everytime I hear ANIMAL or LOVE AND AFFECTION by DEF LEPPARD. My hair on my skin stands on end..... I just love these 2 songs..... They have helped me start my days and got me through tough times.......

What is the one or two songs which causes you the have a skin tingling experience?

She Sells Sanctuary and More Than a Feeling are two of my old favourite skin tinglers. I'll try and think of some more.

(Edit: beaten to it! :) )

The intro to Thunderstruck.

She sells sanctuary definite, Paradise City (GNR), Power of Love (Huey Lewis), Mr Brightside (Killers). If these come on the radio it's turn it up and lose all focus on the job in hand time!

Good call. Where the girls are green and the grass is pretty? :D

There's tonnes that I could list for different reasons but I'll assume the first 2 that spring to mind do so for a reason:

1) AWOLNATION - Sail
2) Simon and Garfunkel - Sound of Silence (I could pick about 10 of their songs for this list though!)

Feel free to list ..... I was thinking off making a collection of all the different song to play at work....so far we all seem to have alot of songs in common...... None of this drum and bass stuff

You Sir, are a genius. Love that song!

A lot of Pink Floyd gets the hairs on the back of my neck stood up, as do many AC/DC tracks. Norwegian Wood is the only Beatles track to do so and Paint it Black is the only one from the Stones to do it for me, although I love both groups. The opening to Titties and Beer by Frank Zappa gets me too, as do the Central Scrutiniser inserts on Joe's Garage. She Caught the Katy raises the hairs too, even if that is just in anticipation of the film to follow!

I collated a folder of tunes years ago for this type of thing, but off the top of my head, here are three

Whole Lotta Rosie - ACDC (the live single from 78ish)
Union City Blues - Blondie
Step On - Happy Mondays

Got to be the live version of WLR... "Dah dah dah dah da da duh ANGUS! ANGUS!"

(Sorry but that reminds me of my sole DJing gig - an under 16s' disco at the club where I used to bounce. I only played the first line then cut the track off, just after the "Never had a woman, never had a woman" line!)

Pink Floyd - Time and Comfortably Numb
Oasis - Live Forever
John Frusciante - Song to the Siren
Elbow - Some Riot and Loneliness of a Tower Crane Driver

Just a few of them

Not a song, an instrumental

Vangelis - To the unknown man

McDonalds Lament - Wolf

Instrumental too but a very moving piece.

Absolutely! We occasionally managed to get our PE teacher/DJ to play it at our school discos :D

Goosebumps....you forget how good some classical music is. Thanks.
Going to listen to it all when I get home.

Portishead, Roads. Can't explain it, just love it. I think it's the combo of Beth Gibbons voice, a melodic swagger and strings.

S

"Child In Time" from "Deep Purple In Rock"

"Caruso" and "Nessun Dorma" from "The Essential Pavarotti"

"Little Wing" by Aynsley Lister

"Beautiful Goodbye" by Amanda Marshall

"Stop" by Sam Brown

"Rain Down On Me" by DJ Tiesto, featuring Kane - love it in an RPM class

"Feeling Good" by Muse

"Blues for Narada" by Gary Moore

"Prodigal Son" guitar solo from Iron Maiden's "Killers" album

"Then Came The Last Days Of May" by Blue Oyster Cult

Probably some others, but those were first to spring to mind.

As you can see most are more chill songs that tend to get the hairs on the back of my neck going, but there's a few pump-up songs that get cracked out when I need to get in the zone.

This list still isn't exhaustive but it summarises a lot of the most played on my iTunes.
