So for 32 years I have thought Ian McCulloch was singing:

Come to the free for all. With sellotape and knives

I have just discovered he was actually singing:

Come to the free for all. With seven tapered knives

Follow the Sasquatch....down to Gorky Park......

Did anyone ever figure out what the Skids were singing about, Into The Valley ?

Ah! Mondegreens! (After Lady Mongegreen, misheard from Laid him on the green.)

Gary Numan - Cars, got a line I've no idea what he's on about. "I can staple four dice, in cars"

Being partly deaf, I often mishear conversations plus music lyrics............... - the first one for years that puzzled me was who was Dennis Bradley in

Whitney Houston's, "Where Do Broken Hearts Go?"

I hear:
And the only thing I've learned
Is that I need you, Dennis Bradley.

Original Lyrics:
And the only thing I've learned
Is that I need you desperately.

Or with Duffy's - Mercy - I hear "Begging you for Bird Seed":)

Neil Diamond singing about the Reverend Blue Jeans always confused me. What a strange name for a Reverend to have. He's got form for this, he wrote a song about Jonathan Livingstone Seagull, so perhaps the Reverend Blue Jeans wasn't such a strange name after all.

I used to think Gloria gaynor was gonna hurt
me with his bike instead of goodbye.....

So it turned out "I hurdled through the grape vine" was, in fact, heard it through the grape vine.

And in Ghost Busters, who are you gonna call? "Those Bastards"

Who are you - original lyric from The Who

I always thought they were singing New Orleans..........
