Someone's been nicking the spoons again..

Prince Phillip is stepping down from Royal duties soon.
God bless him.

A bit of a non-event. Not surprising that a bloke of his age should be easing off on the duties. I thought it might be something more dramatic.

The Royal Household obviously works in its own way but I'm surprised it was necessary to bring staff from Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral to the Palace for the announcement.

I'm quite surprised at folks attitude this is a massive event for the royal family and having all the senior supprt staff their was vital.
peoples roles will now change to support the different path Prince Phillip will take.
He is an absoute legend that guy and I have so much respect for him, possibly the most out of an man.
The fact he is standing down from a life devoted to service is huge if folk think thay is unintersting then i am bemused.

Do you think Charles stands any chance, wonder if he could be passed over for a younger king.

Constitutionally I believe not, it would be up to him to stand aside for William if he wanted to and I think we both know the answer to that...

Just heard, ATOS has assessed him fit for work so he's not giving up after all.
I doubt he could survive on the state pensions anyway TBH ..

He could send his missis out to work.

So...

old bloke tells his carers to stop finding him things to do.

I'm overwhelmed

I'm happy to go along with the jollity; it's a funny story.

But there is nothing cynical in my comment.
