I don't agree, but before I cast my vote, what is a "snap on"?
 
I really should wear my reading specs - I read it as str@p-on! Same meaning though!!!
 
Of course photography is a technology - how could it be anything else? Whether what is produced is art is a different question.

Painting is a technology - it's a method of getting an image on a canvas (or other medium). The result may or may not be art.

I think it was written to provoke exactly the sort of debate it will get.
 
Our lass wanted some tools so she could work on her bike, so I asked her what kind she wanted, she says I want some of them there sna....snaa......erm what do you call them......Snapped tools

it makes me laugh even now, its the thought of presenting her with a bag of broken spanners...

Exactly. Photography, painting, sculpture, etc. are all mediums. They can sometimes be used to create art.
