I hope this is the right place to post this.
This mark (circled in red) is showing up on my shots, it's not in/on my lens as i have tried a differnt lens and it's still there, so i'm guessing it's on the sensor. Is there a way to clean this myself or does it need to be done by professionally. Thankfully it only shows up on a pale background, such as the sky.

looks like a hair on there ( probably no more than a couple of mm at most ). you could try using a rocket blower and taking some test shots on grey card, otherwise its pretty easy to clean sensor yourself ( your not actually cleaning sensor as its protected by a layer ) . depends what camera you have , normally theres a sensor cleaning option that locks the mirror up and a sensorklean pen or swab kit will do the job if a blower doesnt shift it.
plenty of youtube vids show how to do it but with blower just face the camera downwards, take lens off and give a a few blows with blower then take test shot to see if its gone or moved.
if its a stubborn one hen its moving to next step of lenspen or swabs.

Which camera, is it an SLR?
It is on the sensor but if not SLR more problematic to shift.

I remember getting a dust bunny just like this on the sensor of my Ricoh GR - because the lens was non removable I resorted to putting it in the pannier of my bike and riding over some cobbles - I managed to shift it after a few rides!

Sorry should have stated which camera. It's a Canon 1100d

I will give it a blow. I've been looking at some photos from yestarday and the hair (i guess that's what it is) is on some of the shots, but at a different angle. So i don't think it will take too much to shift it.
Thanks everone for the speedy replies.

While you're at it, shoot a white out of focus ceiling at the smallest aperture you've got. Don't worry about movement, it helps -- you want a white featureless shot which will show up all the dust on your sensor. Then do it again after your clean.

I will give it a go Chris. It could well be filthy.
