Something has changed..help

When opening my raw files in cs3 the section below used to default to all the sliders being zero and in the middle.

I have had to wipe my computer and start again but now for some reason the clarity option defaults to zero on the far left thus not allowing me to reduce the clarity.
Please help as i need to be able to do this.

You need to update your version of ACR to the latest CS3 version. The orriginal version of Clarity was set to zero as per your current set up. The latest version ( can't remember which) put the clarity slider with a central zero point.

Quickest way to update ids to open Photoshop and under HELP select updates. You'll get all the latest updates, including Acrobat, which can take an age to download, so be warned
