Well, if you look at it sensibly, you will keep this for another 8 years.
If the camera cost £1200, (and it didn't I hope) then it will cost £150 per year to own the beast, which is only £3 per week, which is less than 50p per day, or a packet of crisps. So don't have your walkers at dinnertime, and you've paid for the new camera.
Now, i just need to convince the wife the same logic....
