Got a XBOX 360 in mint condition and a steering wheel for it (ditto) and about 10 games.

How much would this go for?

Plus £50 for my 400D (I promised the previous owner I would remeber his genouristy)

and how much do I have?

Enough for a 40D?

Would a 40D improve my image quality at all (I.E sharpness etc)

Thanks
Matt

Obviously its completely up to you, but wouldn't you be better off using the money on some quality glass? Surely thats more likely to get you better results than using a low-end of the market lens.

probably glass tbh, are you feeling let down by your 400d's AF, noise response or frame rate?

Well, the 40D's AF system is much more capable and you'll get much less shutter lag too.

Speaking from the point of someone who shoots the same kinda stuff as you, I'd go with the body in this case - but its really a question of both from where you are to be brutally honest.

What games have you got Matt, apart from Forza & GRID??

I doubt a new one, but most likely a second hand one. No idea on the prices you'd get for above.

I very much doubt that the 40d will be any sharper with the same lenses, i gound my 350d was just as sharp as the 30d. How every like everything theres a flip side, i got a much higher hit rate of infocus shots with the 30d then the 40d, and a even higher hit rate with the 40d then the 30d. To improve your sharpness you need better glass.

Personally id have the body upgrade in your position as the improved AF ability should enable you to get more shots, and get stuff you wouldnt get on the 400d.

I love the 40d although i shall be getting rid of one of mine very soon purely due to the fact i dont need 3 body's.
