María de Villota was found dead in Sevilla this morning.
Very sad, she's my age! In all honesty, I only remember her from her accident last year.
(Apologies, I never saw your thread. I'll blame my painful internet connection)
Never heard of her until I saw the headlines:shrug:
She has been in the media a lot here recently because she got married in July, and was going to launch her autobiography next week. It's called La vida es un regalo (Life is a Gift).
I was watching the end of practice this morning when Simon Lazenby announced whilst standing next to Susie Wolff. I felt so sorry for her as you could see that being on live tv as it was announced was the last thing she wanted. It's a really sad loss as although I don't know too much about Maria apart from her accident it seems like she was a very inspirational figure for a lot of people and will be sadly lost.

That's when I heard too, they looked very shocked. I don't normally get to watch practice.
I know it's terminology but there's nothing "natural" about a 33 year old dying so suddenly![]()
