a few days ago my better half said "what would you like for your birthday " so i said i had seen a lens (a 50mm minolta) advertised on here i would like, so she said she would buy it for me, which she has and it arrived as promised, she then uttered the immortal words !!! "so you won't be needing anymore for that camera now you've got 2 lenses"
ps I do love her to bits
 
Surely you need another camera to buy lenses for then......
 
Little does she know... never mind, she'll get fed up of you buying lenses eventually. :)

we went to an airshow over the weekend and when my wife saw some of the massive lenses being paraded around , she suggested i asked for something like that for next xmas , when i told her a rough figure of what they cost , she soon kicked that idea into touch !
 
you love her but she still only ranks as part of "some people"....... shame on ya:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I don't nag my wife about all her shoes and she doesn't nag me about my photography kit!

great reply! LoL no argument there.
I used to tell her indoors that i HAD to buy another lens because due to ever changing technology the lenses need upgrading so they will work with new software! she used to take it in like a dustbin until she got interested in cameras and found out the truth.
How'ever I'm lucky now because she says "I'd like to try this lens out etc" and who am i to deny her? LoL One bad point though is I used to win all the trophies at local shows and now she does!!!
 
I spend my money on what i want, she spends hers on what she wants. She wants shoes, she buys shoes, i want lenses then i save up for lenses

Exactly how me and my GF work.

She doesnt care I spend a fair amount of money on my track car (she actually loves throttle bodies screaming their heads off as much as I do)

Nor cares that I am constantly buying new glass etc...

I dont moan at her for buying tat she wants either :D
