Some one took a fancy to my Nikon...

You could always set up a photography bodyguard security company :)

Plenty of undesireables round here - and the haggis are tough cookies!!

There's a thought.....

Bet saturday nights would be interesting...

Nick any old rubbish. What you chattin' about
Nikons are very good IMO.

Maybe because the fact is I own one too :nikon::woot:

But you know I would still deal with anyone that nicks a camera :boxer:

(bit of a smiley fest going on there O.o)

Jordie

Quite a few smileys indeed...

Glad you got your kit back.

All this reminds me of a letter in one of the mags a few months ago shortly after they'd been giving monopods away as their subscription gift. A lady wrote in thanking them after some scrote tried to nick her camera in an underpass & she battered them in the face with the monopod :bat:

For the benefit of the tape this has been a fictional exercise.. No thieving scum bags were harmed in the production of this fictional event.. Any such scum bags admitted to hospital and details which may appear similar to this event are purely coincidental.

We do wish to add that if readers send in tapes of their fictional scum bag lesson learnings they will be viewed but cannot be returned

:bat: :whistling:

Good for her..... Hope it was a hefty Manfrotto job with head on it....

Thats the disclaimer for forgot to append to the base of my original post... Silly me..

Thanks for the inclusion of this within the thread.

Nigel.:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

dont worry mate if he got away with your d200 i,d lend you my d50:lol::lol::lol:

this also proves that people will nick any old rubish now a days as well :lol: :D:D:suspect:
:woot:

:canon::exit:
Canons may be better than Nikons, but Nikons are really good themselves. They're perfect for those that can't afford Canons, since they're bloody expensive...

EDIT: Oops, forgot to comment on the original thread topic... I probably would have reacted nearly the same way you did, except I'd leave him with a bit more to think about ;)

md:thumbs:

So, basically, what you're saying is that you hit someone for trying to steal your camera stuff? Pfft, you don't say much in the way of the law do you, ever think of just talking to him instead, rather than hitting him & then bragging about it after numerous comments congratulating you. You people make me SICK....

.....Kidding, obviously. :lol:

Good on you for giving him a swift back-hander fella, at least you got the kit back, another few seconds and you might have been buying some new gear.

You should have shown him how the camera worked, by taking uber DOF photos of him trying to work out why his fingers wont move like they used to. :thumbs:

Doctor at A&E: "so tell me again, Mr Bawbag, what exactly was it you said you were doing just before you fell down the stairs and ended up with this "Amatuer Photographer" monopod weddged firmly in your rectum?"

:lol::lol:
