Quite an exciting afternoon for me really... I decided I wanted to return to a bridge archway where I had previously taken a shot of Graffiti but this time I was returning with couple of speedlights.

Arrived at the location and started to set up my lights in the position I thought they would be most effective. Set up the tripod and moved a couple of obstructions out of the way...

I then turned to pick up camera out of bag only to see a chap creeping away with my back pack.

Quick sprint and tussle and its back in safe hands, well hand as I sprained my wrist whilst explaining the rights of ownership.

Just can not believe the cheek of some people.....

Just thought I would share.... and I think I will not be placing my bag behind me any more it will either be on the floor in front of me or on my back.

I hope you didn't remonstrate too hard with the naughty little chap:bat:

Be carefull he doesn't report you for assault!
 
bit of secret potion and he would of stood no chance :lol:
there is some cheek now with things countrys gone to pot

Glad you got your kit back, pity about having to duff your wrist in the process.

I do not think that will be an issue I think he was just looking for an easy score for his next score... If you know what I mean.

Im rather glad as well Geordi..... Yep bummer I just packed up and went home....

I had someone in a passing group pull my camera bag (a wee Lowepro one camera thingy) off my shoulder and make off with it, in Glasgow many moons ago.Fortunately it was empty (the camera being round my neck) and they threw the bag away a few yards down the road....

I do not think in his state of mind he took that particular factor into account, I think he just thought it might be an easy score.

His attitude showed a marked improvement after the little conversation.

Well done for getting your kit back mate! its a shame we have to worry about loosing our hard earned kit like that! i think if your going to do a setup in a public place then you need to go with a pal.. its a shame to say though eh..

That is why i cant wait to get my shoulder sorted once and for all!! just in case i need to educate some little scrote!!

I did consider clubbing the **** with the Tripod... but they are so expensive now and I have the head setup just the way I like it friction wise...

But you are right about about doing setup's with two..

Nikons are very good IMO.

Maybe because the fact is I own one too :nikon::woot:


But you know I would still deal with anyone that nicks a camera :boxer:
