....as I was returning from the shops today I was aware of a toddler on his tricycle speeding down my road (it's on a slope) .......and in the distance his mother was running like a donkey after him (about 70 feet away)........shouting at him to stop.........the said child kept going........time for Super Archangel to step in.......I managed to catch the little brighter just as he was crossing the give way line into the main road where there were a number of cars approaching, one of which would have definitely got him if he had continued.......

The mother panted up to me and said "thank you, I thought he would have stopped before the give way!" FFS he is a toddler.......STUPID WOMAN......

You can all nominate me for a knighthood......or send me cash as a way of a reward for bravery:D

Well done batman .. I hate seeing young children near roads on bikes and stuff

Well done! Nice glow inside you tonight I'll guess.

I couldn't stop smiling to myself for hours afterwards with a warm glow....made me feel like a proper human and that I have done some good and that there was not a grieving family and traumatised motorist suffering this evening.:)

'Twould have served you right if she had carried on running past you (chasing a bus) & the parents of the kid had had you arrested for attempted kidnap!

Joking apart, a good deed. ;)

Good for you!
But not necessarily a stupid woman, sometimes no matter what, they just get away. I'm betting she felt a total fool but it's good that you were at hand to save the day.

Top notch work squire.

However, this tale would have been much more amusing to me if you'd managed to crowbar in some mention of her shouting "FENTON!!! FENTON!! Oh jesus christ"

Seriously though, good on ya for stopping the sprog

i think the stupidity remark relates to "i thought he'd stop at the giveway sign"
