Some interesting weather coming up.......

It means that it might be cloudy at ground level but if you get above even 400 metres, you are likely to be above the cloud and in bright sunshine. Although obviously the usual precautions about taking weather forecasts at face value apply!
I don't need to go anywhere for that it happens right out side my window.I do live at 1500 ft though.

Here was my effort a couple of years ago, sandwiched between clouds.

According to the mountain forecasts, very low-level temperature inversions are likely over the next few days, with tops of maybe only 350 - 400 metres, at least in Wales.

it may be worth getting those walking boots on......!

Where do you get such information? I'd love to have advance notice of such things since I live miles away from anything more than 20m high and need to drive quite a distance to enjoy some relief!

If you go to the Met Office website you can click on "Mountain Forecasts" and choose the area you're planning to visit. There are also other mountain forecast sites . They will often/sometimes actually say if the tops are likely to be clear above a mass of low cloud. Then it's a matter of interpretation and experience, and keeping your fingers crossed.
