Just looking for some advice please guys...

For the last 2 weeks in college i have been late about 3 times, this is to be me being ill, getting no sleep and not waking up on time when i do fall aleep.

My tutor has now put me on first report (which is a like a form you sign and understrand what you have done is against the college rules etc...) now one of those points it says if you are ill please ring in and let the tutor know, that night i was sick in the middle of the night, and was due to start lesson at 11, but slept threw till 1pm... due to beeing so ill! and was not able to ring him, he rang my step farther who told him, i was ill...

He has now called me in for a "serious" meeting at 1:30pm with the heads of the department, i am still rather ill :(

There going to be asking me some "serious" questions, anyone have any advice in which i can help difuse the situation.

I know that some of it is my fault, but putting me on level 2report 8 hours after i singed level 1 is harsh?

All the best tp'rs

If you're under treatment from a doctor I'd let them know, alternatively if your attendance record has been good previously, I'd point that out.

The main point i'd make is not to go in looking for an argument, They will respond and you have more to loose than they do.

Go see your GP and get a note saying you are sick, I'm sure the college will accept that just as an employer would.

You have to be 100% honest. Tell them what is making you ill and what is being done about it.
If you have been ill 3 times in 2 weeks it looks like you need medical attention.
Do you know what is making you ill?

Kick them in the nuts?

I don't know if you've already been to see your doctor about this, but if you are receiving treatment/medication then at least you can provide medical evidence to your college. Your tutor will then take this into consideration rather than just keep putting you on report, I would think.

Some good advice already - if your'e ill they should understand. If on the other hand you have a problem getting out of bed anyway, and I can quite understand that as I wasn't the best when I was younger, then that's something you need to tackle, or it is going to cause you problems. Get a reliable alarm clock - get two if necessary, and put them well away from the bed so you have to get out to switch them off. Once out, don't roil back into the pit. ;)
