Some bloody people..........!!!

FWIW this is more about respect for the country you are residing in and the native population irresepective of race, ethnicity, religion or anything else. True, Polish immigrants catch fish to eat and carry knives everywhere because in Poland that is precisely what they do every day (according to the "respected" media). But the vast majority work damn hard doing jobs "we" don't want to do. Brits abroad do what they do naturally at home - get drunk, pick fights & generally abuse the locals & insult the customs. I read everywhere about the "feral children of satan" we're all breeding in the UK - but of course none of these children are yours are they? It follows that not all British children are feral, nor all immigrants thieving scumbags.

i clicked the thanks button, because you just saved me doing a lot of typing :)
what you said is spot on.
As usual its all about minorities, and how the media portrays all the minorities as the majorities just to scare the **** out of us and make us buy some of their trashy newspapers. thats why we walk down the street, see a bunch of hoodies and assume they want to stab us when most of them are just kids mucking about just like we did when we were kids (and not old moaning codgers like we are now).

What we need to worry about (especially if you own a house) is when the current wave of immigrants go home! (and they will, believe me!). Thats when the value of your house will drop due to less demand for housing, and there will be no hard working people here to do the ****ty jobs that no one else wants to do.

Something, I'm confused about, is all the stories you hear about immigrants coming over here and then claiming benefits. From my knowledge of the subject you cannot just move to the UK and then sign on for Job Seekers and Housing benefit. Its simply not allowed.

Slightly OT, but one thing i never understand in these 'send em all home' type rants is that one group of immigrants never gets a mention. Unless i'm massively mistaken no one seems to ever mention sending irish gypsies back. Lets all unite and stick 'return to sender' stickers on their caravans!

Wow.

I thought this was a great photography website, where people exchange views about photography and related subjects.

Seems I was wrong, and this is really an outlet for the BNP.

Am I really the only person to have read these posts thinking what a lot of xenophonbic nonsense? Please, someone tell me I am not alone.
I wait for the deluge of "Bleeding Heart" type reposts.

Oooh ! this is pretty cool!
I posted about the death of an Otter in an ileagle trap where a certain race are know to fish using ileagle methods and somehow or other I have just run a campaign for the BNP!

The out of focus forum is just that for rants rave and general chat.
The only bleeding hearts I see are the ones that are defending said people and "playing the racist card"!

Had said people been "transient Irish" "hoodi's" "white hetro-sexual males", "white homosexual females" or "children with ginger hair" my disgust at the said act would have been equally as strong would your defence of said people been just as strong?

you might have been talking about dead otters and ill eagles, but the thread then went off at a tangent about immigrants in general. not sure if you spotted all the posts between this one and the first one.

the thing i'm confused about is why people started blaming immigrants to the uk for killing birds of prey??
the post about birds was about thrushes in spain. or did i miss something?

It seems to me that Dave mentioned killing BOPS in the same thread as killing Otters Just as a comparision to "Wildlife crime" no mention of immigrants in that post, "everyone knows" that it happened on a "Royal estate" And I don't see that anyone blaming immigrants for taking songbirds in this country either.
That was just a rant at European law, and the way that europeans "get away" with rather more than they should, or indeed have differant laws that permit ( for now) "things" that we may not agree with.
I accept that the thread went off at a bit of a tangent. I have read and re-read the thread. I still cannot make out any racist comments.

Some anti-european feeling was expressed, but last time I checked we are european too.
"someone" has just jumped in with both feet thinking that this was a racist thread, which by posting ill-conceived replys will and does perpeptuate alledged racist feelings from both points of view whether they are present or not, which to my mind is worse.

I don't see that anyone blaming immigrants for taking songbirds in this country either.

'Now i can see how these imigrants killing an otter may not be there aim. But killing an endangered bird of prey is just beyond the mark.'

I have read and re-read the thread. I still cannot make out any racist comments.

'I would suggest concreting in some posts or POLES along the bank as a warning'

'...suffice to say the non indigenous species got a little damp! Hurray for our side'

Hurray for our side indeed.. What side would that be exactly?

His side can be who ever he wants it to be.

In that example a person(s) was causing trouble and got a taste of rough justice, in any situation you want to bring up there is a right and a wrong.

I would suggest that picking through posts from days gone by is doing nothing to add to this discussion. And further more if it's going to serve to anger members on BOTH sides of the debate it's better if the thread is allowed to slide gently into the abyss.

I really can't be assed with is it racist is it not from a simple news item of an illegle killing of a endagered indigenous species.

I have asked for it to be "shut down"

Just close your eyes, and think of your special place.......it'll all be better in the morning

:D

If someone can construe my light hearted pun as being racist then I hope to God they don't have a TV at home.

It is NOT racist to suggest that the persons concerned were of a certain nationality. It WOULD BE racist to suggest that ALL persons of a certain nationality behave in the said manner and I don't believe that was the case.

This comment is racist....

We British are obsessed with the ridiculous notion that any comment regarding someone from a minority group is politically incorrect. Of course, not all of us so obsessive...therefore the general statement WAS racist.

Yep "Our side" in this instance refered to "fishermen" being bullied to sell / give fish. and getting their own back on who ever it may have been that was doing the "bullying" in the first place

Again another

why is it ,that when someone voices their opinion of the behaviour of someone from another coutry, that opinion seems doomed to be labeled racist?
cobblers.
unacceptable behaviour should be frowned on, regardless of country of origin.

yep re a previous post of mine, "the racist card" is played far too often in defence of others
When we comment on football hoolligans / lager louts of any race cread or colour no one suggests this is "football-ist or larger-ist do they?

:runaway: Bloody Hell Cobra.... What a great Thread.... Bit too lively for me on a Wednesday Lunchtime.
I'm off to the "Teletubbies have Rights Too" Forum.;)

Edit. Should have read complete thread first.

Well, stop going on about it then!

And as for this comment
'Yep "Our side" in this instance refered to "fishermen" being bullied to sell / give fish. and getting their own back on who ever it may have been that was doing the "bullying" in the first place'
That gave me a proper LOL moment.
Cant believe it took you two days to come up with that nonsense!

I thought straight thinkin' people would have taken it as such
and didn't think that I would have to justify every single letter, sentance phrase or paraphrase. As DF raised the point, I just concured / confirmed that was my intention.
As long as you keep missing the point and finding a racist comment in everything I type I guess I will just have to keep clarifying my actions and explaining things.
As I carry Irish genes in my bloodline I am begining to wonder if these retaliation posts are purley in fun or should I also play the racist card?..............
BTW I enjoy a good "Irish joke" as well as the next man (or woman for fear of being labled sexist as well as racist)

 Oh no they don't

anyway, thats my last post on the subject. You can carry on as much as you like, but as stated earlier (by yourself IIRC) the discussion has pretty much run out of steam.

I'll let you have the last word...

In that case i apologise. I guess if you have some Irish Genes then you cant be a racist. My Bad

Anyone of any race colour or creed can be racist as you well know my point was that your comments could be construde as being racist to me as I was not pure "English" but what is pure English as we are a product of thousands of years of interbreeding with whatever nationality decieded to rape and pillage the Celts

And thanks for the discussion

Actually, I'll have the last word

Todays additions to the thread have bored me a disappointed me with the tit for tat posts.

I don't normally like closing threads, but this one has run it's course.
