Solar filter or 10 stopper?

Now where is everyone goung to miss the cloud?

Ohh dear, 100% cloud cover, for my location :mad:

The thing about the sun is that it's so bright it can shine right through thin cloud. In fact if the cloud is the right sort of density, you'll be able to watch and photograph the eclipse without any filters or eye protection. Nature's solar filter :-)

Every time I look at the Met Office forecast for my area it's changed, but the day off work is booked and I'm going to an RSBP reserve which has a big car park and a good horizon, which I don't get from home. If I don't see anything at all at least I can listen to the bitterns booming!
