Edit My Images
Yes
I had a shock this morning. I have Affinity Photo, Luminar 4 & Photoshop elements installed for editing images. I have now changed over to the Fuji system fromCanon but did know that these programs would not work with my new Fuji XT-4 camera.
So I guess more expense to DL capture one.

Or you could convert your raws to DNG until the software updates to include X-T4 raws.

You could probably get away with the free fuji version of Capture One (Capture One Express for Fuji) do the raw conversion in C1 and then export from C1 (as a Tiff or PSD) into Affinity Photo (or Luminar or Elements). Lots of people do the raw processing in C1 and then round trip to Photoshop or Affinity Photo for editing.

I think its safe to assume that all your existing programs will eventually support the XT4, and by that time you can decide whether its worth spending the money on c1, or just stick with what you have.

Adobe DNG convertor is free, but I've never used it myself so don't know how it works. I imagine its a case of loading your fuji raw into the convertor and then, well, converting it :)

Thanks

I use DNG all the time. You download it for free and when you call it up you choose a directory and it converts all files in it to DNG. I delete the original raws and just keep the DNG's. I haven't found any downsides other than some versions don't like some marque raw files so if you do run into any trouble you may need to change the DNG version. Other than that I've used it for years as Adobe stopped updating my CS5 years ago.

:plus1: to all of that.

Plus the free version of Lightroom on my iPad & iPhone will open DNG files with pretty much all facilities but not other RAW files without a subscription.
