Hi, just wondering if there was currently (with al the software out there) there was some software that you wish you had, be it new techonlogy or simply some software that would make your workflow more efficient?

Just interested
Thanks
Andy

Yes there is not a lot of good software out there and I should know. I really do not like the idea that a lot of camera manufacturers have now created their own formats like Canon CR2 Raw. You find that there are very few software packages out there that will support it.

Therefore too my point TRY DEVELOPING SOFTWARE THAT CAN EASILY CONVERT ALL THE FORMATS AVAILABLE FOR ALL THE CAMERA MANUFACTURERS. Not just one or two formats but a software package that can convert any format and any version of that format.

Heres my idea.
A proper system restore that isn't killed or deactivated by just about every virus and doesn't require tons of space or back up disks.

Software that has been tested properly and just does the job it is supposed to without all the annoying irritations :bang:

All ready done... the platform is MAC :D:D:D

Software that could turn out of focus shots in focus please. :)

Nice ideas all, im always trying to think of better efficient software to have a go at developing, theres so much out there and when you get an idea a quick search soon reveals its already been done (just most of the times, done badly!) So just wondered if there was any specific in the photography area.

I do see a lot of requests about resizing and watermarking for the web, what about a simply (dare I say idiot proof?) program that will do both properly.

I wish you were right. My aperture 3 crashed 3 times yesterday.....
   Sorry, not laughing at your misfortune, just at the 'it just works' brigade.

Software that would integrate with your image library so that you could keep track of where you have used it eg would list all photos uploaded to facebook or flickr etc. It would also drag down stats to see which images were getting the most attention.

If you wanted to get real techy then securing images using steganographic techniques to make sure they couldn't be used where they shouldn't be would be quite useful too.
