Software Needs To Close?

Hi, I have Photoshop CS6, Lightroom 6, Helicon Focus etc etc but when using for example P/S CS6 or as today after about 10 minutes working with Helicon Focus the screen is going dull and the message Software has encountered a problem and the software shuts down. At first I thought it was a RAM problem but I upgraded to to 16GB but seems not the problem.
When I tried to upgrade from Win7 to Win 10 I got the message the system has a power problem so stuck with Win7.
Could the PSU be having problems and causing software to shut down?
I have a GA-770TA-UD3 Board
AMD Phenom (tm) ll x4
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650Ti with 1 GB RAM

I suspect that Windows complaining about power is more likely bios / chipset than the actual PSU. How about checking the Windows Event logs around the restart, see if it throws any light on the issue.

Hi, thanks for reply. Had a look on line about Win Event log. Tried it with sending info as requests but came back not known. The rest of the LOG is way over my head i'm afraid.
