software for graphics

I'm currently doing all my graphics for FCPX in Photoshop and illustrator. But I want to experiment with moving graphics, especially ones that look 3D.... what's the best software? Adobe after effects? Apple Motion?

After Effects. Shockingly powerful, but a lot to learn. Like most software of this kind, most people probably tap about 5% of what it can do, myself included.
