Software for event photography?

I need to find a piece of free software to use at an event which im shooting next week. I need to be able to shoot tethered to my canon to MBP and be able to show the images straight away automatically and then be able to flick back without exiting the screen. I have used the canon software for the last event i did but was finding i was having to exit the screen and move into finder to view the previous shots. I dont know whether i can or not, but would be grateful of any advice. Am producing images after the event so no need to be able to print off the software.

hi. I thought that canon software did that
but when I tried it had a paddy, in that I shot remotely and the results didn't come up on screen...it did in practise so I think it's user error on my part.
In the preview window it seemed to bring up the image, and if you configure it correctly I think it only transfers a low res version so that the original is on the camera only.
The alternate is to use a wifi transmitter or have a solution that looks for the latest image in a tethered folder/file system.
I'd play with the canon software again as I'm sure this worked for me at one point and only cocked up when I was actually at the prom I was shooting.
