Hi, I have to create an interactive help page/process flow chart for work.

I need to be able to ask questions (Y/N) or select from a drop down list. The answer will then promt another question in the process. etc.

It is a very convoluted process with many outcomes and possibilities. I know this is a bit vagues but I can't give any details of what the actual process is.

Does anyone know of any software that would do this. I've had a quick look at Visio and this would be great if I was just presenting one big process flow. It's the interactive bit I need.

I'll probably check for responses tonight as I really shouldn't be on the net at work, but this is research so I should be ok.

Cheers

Nah, it's not really a survey.

Let's say the first question was "I'd like some ice cream", and you had to select what flavour from a drop down menu.
You select Chocolate and the reply is "yes no problem, proceed to check out".
You select Vanilla and the reply is "No way, put it back"
You select, Strawberry, Toffee or Nut and the reply is "let's ask another question"
Then there are another 3 options depending on what the response to that was.

Probably not the best analogy, but someone might get it.......

I know what you mean.

I've written online survey software for customers and it can branch depending on answers, but its not that great as the branching bit was not really high up the feature list.

There are websites where you can hire coders...

If you want a web browser to access the page it could use PHP but then you'd need webspace with PHP (which your company most probably has) or install it locally.

You could get a program cobbled together for any computer still running, but you probably want something with a degree of polish, made with Delphi or Visual Basic etc.

If you want software to put something together yourself, it looks like you'd pay hundreds.

Thanks Photon. It's likely that someone may have Delphi or Visual Basic installed on their machines. I'll ask about and see if I can have a look at it.

Failing that, I'm back to excel to write a load of formulae.

(Or I give it to someone else :D)

Ok, I didn't realist that they were software coding whatsists.

That shows my level.

That seems the most sensible idea!

Does it actually have to be an all in one whizzy thing? No offence but it sounds like your work have asked you to do something somewhat above your skill level. Will more simple process flow diagrams do the job or does it have to be interactive with drop down messages etc?
