Hi all,

I have 2x Yonguo 560's on the way and am looking for some recommended cheap ebay type softboxes that will work with the speed lights... In terms of size, I am looking for 2 softboxes - one that could hopefully go towards lighting full body shots and then maybe a slightly smaller one for head to mid torso.

Hi...this is a little different to what you are thinking...but can be used as a beauty dish (larger harder light), add the grid (constrains light more), add the sock diffuser (softer light like a small softbox). It is now my fave tool... and cost is about £55...

Add this adapter for £17 and and s-fit gear can be used with the flash on a stand...

They also have these softboxes...most are speedboxes so go up like a brolly and include a grid...I use these and the price point and quality are good...

Hope this helps...

This is the type that a lot of people go for. I use a 40cm one and it's god, although day-in, day-out use sees me going through at least one a year, probably two in reality. They're handy, as they fold flat and are pretty rigid. The bracket is the key thing to watch for... some are atrocious, although the one in the above listing is pretty solid. You get what you pay for but these are genuinely good entry-level soft boxes. Make sure you get one with a diffusing sheet on the front and an internal diffuser - just adds a bit of flexibility to the kind of light you want to produce.

This looks like an interesting way of getting the flash central and without light leak, although that ball joint looks like it'll seize up at some point in time.
