Yes
this soft box is just 24" across so i'm guessing it won't take a full size light hth mike

Just out of curiosity how have you found the softbox?

You'd need a bowens speedring adaptor (if there's one available), but you may be as well getting a bigger softbox with an internal baffle (necessary) and a grid (nice to have)

I haven't yet, ordered 2 weeks ago and it's still not here. Shipping from Germany apparently.

Thanks for the input people. Much appreciated.

Which of the Amazon sellers did you order from?

Ultra Sales Global. Gave a delivery window of 2.5 weeks.

Got to wait until 14th November after placing order on 22nd of October. I'm kind of hoping it doesn't arrive so I can buy a different one!

Well, it's had good reviews on Amazon, but many of the buyers seem to have got it from a supplier called TCT, and seem to have a good delivery experience. However, I don't see that particular supplier listed on Amazon. That's why I was wondering who you had ordered from.

Softbox has arrived and has an internal baffle. Quite impressed with it but only done a few self portraits so far.

Quality is good for the money, glad I purchased it. The speedring just fits in between the material in the rear when it's popped up so when/if I get a smartflash I can see what I need to fit it to that.

It looks quite like the ezybox so i'm guessing it's a copy. I haven't used any of the lastolite products as yet and i'm really tying myself in knots here wondering whether to purchase one like yours or spend more and get either the apollo from Westcott or the ezybox from Lastolite. I keep hearing about the quality of light they produce and that's why they're worth the money. I would love to have some text shots of all three to see if this is just waffle or indeed if there is a difference in the quality of the light.

If you buy the Apollo be aware it doesn't tilt and there isn't a workaround that is cheap. As I said on another post I have just rejected the Lastolite as being poor value and I'm now looking at cheaper options which I believe will be at least as good. I know Joe Mcnally has a lastolite box named after him but if you watch how he improvises materials to make great shots it doesn't seem he needs one ;)

I saw the Apollo on a boom and it looked as f it worked perfectly well but to be honest the less gear the better so adding a boom to an already expensive softbox seems a bit crazy as i'll be using this on the move more often than not.

That's really my grouse with the Apollo. It will work as long as you're happy to chuck a lot of extra cash on support for it
