As title. I need some modifiers for my 580s. What's out there that's good?

Cheers.

Westcott Apollo 50 inch and 28 inch are both lovely, if a little pricey

I've got a Lastolite pop up soft box that I really rate - perfect for single portraits and can be used for small groups (three max really). It's small enough that it won't blow over too easily and it folds down to the size of a small reflector. It mounts onto a light stand.

Other than that I've found that umbrellas are an easy way to soft light a scene - although the light control can be quite poor. CotswoldsPhoto on eBay seem to have a good selection. The plus side is that they're cheap, the downside is that they'll blow over if you sneeze!

You can get some wrist/ankle weights for aerobics, with Velcro, that make good additions to cheap lighting stands.

i got an umbrella softlighter from ebay. £15 from hongkong and it's very nice. not fully tested it yet tho but quick play around inside the house yields good results so far!

If you are looking for a grid Honl Photo are good ones.
I am not sure how big light modifier you are after, but aforementioned larger Apollo softboxes are great.
Another small light modifier with rather smart design is Lumiquest Quik Bounce.
I hope this helps.

I make grids from cardboard, drink straws and gaffer tape.
Softboxes, reflectors, umbrellas: China
Light panels: bedsheets :)

Thanks guys. I made some snoots tonight - very easy and work really well :)

Take some cereal cardboard, wrap around flash head and then wrap around with PVC tape. I'm sure there's better ways of doing it, but worked for me. Next job - beauty dish from wok ;-)

I have the honl photo kit, gels grids and snoots etc, a great set that attaches without marking. Expensive but it works!
