Ive been looking at various options for a softbox for my speedlite, the Lastolite Ezybox is a little to expensive, ive found one on Evilbay by Cotswold photo and just wondering if anyone has used this softbox, it looks well made but as always looks can be deceiving, or if you have used something similar and can recommend it to me I would be very grateful

I ordered one from Elemental, Tuesday night, with me Wednesday.

Cracking company, goods and service.

That one looks the same as the one I have, though just as Jingphotography I got mine from a different seller.
Again as above mine can be tricky to fold sometimes you just need to be a little brutal to get it to fold properly.
another "issue" I have and i'll do my best to explain.
the verticle section which links the ring to the colds shoe bracket fouls on the ball head preventing you from angling the softbox beyond 45 degrees. this is somewhat dependant on the size of the flash you use though, the taller the better.
but generally for the money its good other than that.
Im planning on choping the lower section off mine for greater adjustment.

Thanks for all the help, ive seen them from a few different sellers and all seem pretty much identical, got to be worth it for the price, so I think i am going to take the plunge and order one

Thanks again

Adrian

Got mine from a different seller but looks identical.

Impossible to fold down back into it's case. Great diffusion. The speedring bracket is first rate - can pop out quite easily when used outdoors in a breeze, but well made and adjustable for flash size

The ball head is ****; thread has come clean away from the ball so it's now unmountable. probably a one-off.

Other than that it's cool

Pat, I think I might have one of the solid brackets (ie no ballhead) for the softboxes kicking around, do you want it?

Graham, that would be great. Let me know what you want for it and I'll PM you my addy :)

AnnaV,

I agree, I have been down to Cotswoldphoto a couple of time, only half hour away. They have always been most helpful and accommodating and I would highly recommend them to anyone. Even bought a camera bag, which they changed for me a few weeks later as it was not big enough.
