Just interested to know....How important is it to soft proof your images? Who out there does? And for what?

Why: to see what they look like when printed. Do I do it: yes, occasionally (which is how often I print my photos ;))

I've just started weddings and realise I need to soft proof all my images for screen and printing, so much extra work! 😁

What editing software are you using. It may be possible to produce a preset/action to do most of the work for you. You will need to check each one just in case they run out of gamut. LR4 has soft proofing and it is possible to run through the images fairly quickly seeing if any are in need of significant correction

I have LR4 I have been trying out the soft proofing which is great but to go back and soft proof over 700 wedding photos is a nightmare! :(

Do you need to SP all 700? You could select those you want drop them into a collection and then Soft Proof those
