Hay all,

Im just an amateur photographer and video marker right now but Im kin to learn more. I am by far most interested in glamour and making nude skin look beautiful. However Im struggling with my lighting (My last shoot came out dark and grainy when I looked back at the shoots and video).

I want to try and capture that you see in skilled glamour photography, which I believe is done by lighting, but Im still not sure of the skills. Could someone give me some help or point me to a good resource? Thank you.

I did before reading the post. Can we put that its not work safe in the title?
Its not just the pictures, but the banner was advertising something alot more dodgy
 
Producing lighting as bad as that is easy - just softboxes each side of the subject, with some extra lighting usually behind as well.

Creating good lighting requires far more skill and more equipment, but I suppose that the target audience for those kind of shots isn't too bothered about the quality.

There's also usually a fair bit of computer work involved
 
Models without a tanline help a lot too. It will be a combination of a lot of things to show "perfect skin"

1. perfect skin & makup
2. perfect lighting
3. perfect post processing

For what its worth, just try shooting real grown up people with real skin and show them to be as beautiful as they really are
 
Those links could do with a bit more warning, They are not the usual glamour shots they show alot! of detail.

We do have younger members on here like myself so need some more warning incase we open at college and get stabbed in the face repeatedly by our tutors!

The only thing I remember advice-wise for taking nudes is to get them to take their socks off well before the shoot so you don't get lines on the ankles. That is the sum total of my glamour knowledge. Very poor :)
