I was wearing one today and was surprised when I turned the ignition on my car on (at lunchtime) and the outside temperature warning signal sounded.

I grew up in Scotland and remember snow shortly before my birthday, which means it would have been in early May.
 
It's been snowing here this morning in South Lincolnshire, but not sticking.
 
Just had a text from a friend in Telford, with a pic, goodly bit of snow on the ground in their garden!

Snows in Ross on Wye but didn't stick.. Quite a strange thing to wake up to?
 
Yup, it was snowing in Oxfordshire until about 11.30 this morning, though not settling of course. :(

Apparently it was also snowing very close to me in MK
All I've had is heavy rain.
 
I was tempted t wash the car, but now things have just turned cold & grey.

Time to go heat some lasagne for dinner. :)

Caught the shaven headed oik in a T-shirt out this morning! Gave him a face like a bulldog licking urine off Scotland's national flower!
 
Snowed in Rossedale this afternoon - more on higher ground it's stuck, although it looks to have caught a few drivers out on the M66 near Ramsbottom as there was a 3 car smash and motorway closed - hopefully everyone okay...

There was snow on the moors above Huddersfield yesterday :/
 
And April 16th I got sun-tanned out on the bike. If Scotland does nothing else it makes you adaptable. Just roll with whatever the weather brings in.

Turned out sunny here late afternoon, still cold and windy but that helps dry out the ground, I'll settle for this at the end of the month for the car club run, sun on my head and cold intense air for the car, and of course quiet Scottish roads and scenery.
 
April, summer. Hmm!! Summer usually starts around June down south
 
sunny spells today so decided to cut the lawn

it was quite pretty really - watching the sun highlight the falling snow-flakes.....................:eek:
