So WHY did you choose your name

So why not choose number 1 as this was his number he sadly retired on.....yes WSB Number 1:thumbs:

Brain freeze so as he's still my favourite rider I'll be his fan 4ever(so cheesey):gag:

Best win for me was beating John Kocinski at Assen when Carl was on the honda, also the burn out in pit lane when Chilli spat his dummy out after falling off.

Nice link as well:clap:

Veracocha. Carte Blanche, The greatest dance track that ever came down the pipe.

original but not much thinking involved, I live near Blackpool and used a pic of the tower as my avatar on the first site I went to.Hence towershot.
Used on a few sites now.
My other monica is Zorki K ,bet you can't guess why :lol:

I have no idea

When I registered on here, I wanted a name that was different to the one I have on the car forums I'm on, and this was the first thing that came to mind. I quite liked the sound of it, so decided to use it.

Kinda random :D

Pooka because they were the most fun out of the kith of sidhe from celtic mythology. Born from the dreams of children with no concept of good and evil, just "fun" and "not fun" - much more innocent grasp of life, which is almost nothing like me.

And DJ, 'cus that's the other thing I do.

I started using Pooka online when I first came online, and at the time I was the only one who used Pooka - now there are lots of us scattered around, but I think I'm the only DJ Pooka out there.... (Although, there's a DJ Pookie in Bristol as well somewhere, but I think he's just a cheap knockoff copy of me.)

I use other names in some places, but the names are all chosen for specific purposes if it's not DJPooka - most of them are not real names or words, but random strings of characters that sound cool together....

I like REM and I like the song Daysleeper... also very much a night owl, not a morning person at all.

40 because I had to pick a number on another site years ago when just Daysleeper was already taken - it has stuck ever since.

DS

i choose matty because:

my name, or rather the Scottish traditional abbreviation for George. Most people call me dod though :)

I signed up to another photography forum as Rick_the_Uneducated and wanted the same name here when I discovered it - unfortunately it was too many characters for TP so had Uneducated_Rick

my name, or rather the Scottish traditional abbreviation for George. Most people call me dod though :)

I will remember that George :D
Mine? because..... Long story! ;)

Just noticed a newbie called glass books and it made me think why that name  poor fella has only been here 2 minutes and already im talkin about him:lol:. So what made you choose your name (sorry if its been done before)

Im studio 16 because i live at number 16 and............i dont have a studio  its kind of being built

so why did you choose your name

Hehehe well don't I feel famous already!! Why the name? Well, I read a book with that in the title not too long ago and it kinda grabbed my attention - like it did yours, good or bad!

I normally go by Coraline on forums but thought I'd go for one that was not obviously female for once, but see where that got me, ridiculed on my first day on a new forum! :runaway::sulk::p

I was a member of a Sunderland Football Club forum years ago and we could select our user name every time we posted - so we just made stuff up.
In 2002 I came back from holiday to find they'd changed to software and we now had to register. I was hungover and couldn't tink of a user name so I just went for the first part of the postcode I was sitting in at the time AB22.

So that was my embarrassing user name for a while. I then started another account with a nickname my girlfriend gave me: Easy Tiger.

A while later there was a purge on multiple accounts so I merged my two user names, thought it looked stupid and went to change it back, only find that they'd swirtched off the facility to change names. So I was stuck with an even more stupid name AB22 Easy Tiger.

It stuck though and I tend to use that name when I register for interwebby stuff nowadays.

Have you lost the will to live yet?

I thought your name looked familiar ...it's from the SMB!

Mine is my surname.

also the burn out in pit lane when Chilli spat his dummy out after falling off.

That was Foggy all over ,he didn't give a **** :D Probably one of the most exciting riders ever to watch

Chose my title cos i love motorcross and it's fun.... hence ..... Mxfun:D

I chose mine 8 years ago when i Became a member of AOL. I did Have THEPOLICENEENAWNEENAWNEENAWNEENAW. But thought people are gonna take one look at that and think SPAM:lol:

So decided Scotslasszoe. Which is My name Zoe and i am a Scots Lass (from Scotland):D

And it had stuck with me i use it everywhere i go. Internet wise

:wave::wave:

I've been called Tazmaniandevil since my sparky days. Wherever I worked (allegedly) there was a whirlwind rushing about grunting and swearing. The name stuck, and even my kids use it sometimes.

My nickname. I have had it as a kid. Although it used to be Jordy. Then it got changed to Jordie by one of my mates. Dunno why though. Better than them spelling my name wrong which annoys me (Jordan NOT Jordon :bang:)

'Tumbleweed.' as I've kinda pin-balled about the country tumbleweed stylee :tumbleweed:

my name was one i used on a motorcycle forum , it was a GASGAS riders forum

I couldn't think of anything better at the time

it must be a popular name for some reason cos I've tried to use it on other forums and its been taken

might try and find a plumbing forum

Mine originated from a trip to Scotland with a mate, we were both called Mark, though there was no real confusion as i'm 6'2" and he's 5'3" - Joined up with a bunch of lads from Glasgow, doing a bit of rock climbing, and there was lots of "Who's next up","Mark", "Which Mark","The Big Yin" or "The Wee Yin" going on... by the end of a couple of days we were just The Big Yin and The Wee Yin.

As it's the nearest i've ever come to a Nickname, other than slight alterations to my real name, i've kind of adopted it for my online persona pretty much anywhere.

Im yet another one of those sad old ***'s who got the name aeons ago in a computer game..
Anyone ever immerse themselves in Ultima Online?-Dear god that destroyed social lives!
Used to love harrasing friends in town (endless fun with poison etc)...So ended up being called Mischief...it kinda stuck...
I shall get my coat...

Many years ago I knew someone with a big old Stearman biplane that was powered by a 450 hp P&W R985 'Wasp Junior' radial engine that he used to let me fly occasionally.
I just thought it was the best sounding, if somewhat environmentally unfriendly engine compared with Lycoming engined 'spam-cans' ie. Cessna, Piper etc. that I had flown up until then.

Mine is the name of the song sung on the terraces of 'God's Own Football Team' along with my favourite number. For anyone not into football that would be Manchester City FC.

I have been going to games since I was 3 years old (I'm now 43) and been a season ticket holder since 1974 which is why I am an eternal optimist, very resiliant and used to feeling hurt

Blue Moon......You saw me standing alone........

Chris :)

...................what the kids call me.

I didn't choose mine - I was Nod before I was born!

I have lurked on several forums as candlestickchimney for years, but it's too many letters for TP. The Candlestick Chimney is in my home town of Whitehaven and is and was used to remove gases from Wellington Pit which closed many years ago! :D
