I "discovered" Ramstein whilst working in Hamburg a few years ago where they featured heavily with "Sonne" on MTV. Then i forgot about them until lastyear. I now have a largish Rammstein Collection and cant wait till they tour agian. If the scenses from Volkerball are anything to go by they put on an awesome show.

Whats your favourite track?

for general **** taking and rock clicheness I like Amerika but overall I think Du Hast its probably my favourite

It strange with Ramstien as a non english singing band that has been accepted by so many different people.
I am listing to Reise Reise as I type this.

I listen to most stuff in the rock and metal vein.

But metallica is my fave, have seen them about 60 times in 7 countries across 22 years!

I'm into a craze called 'post rock' which is mainly instrumental music which builds up and reaches a big climax. Very 'epic' music. I also like folk/singer songwriters, indie, dubstep, a bit of everything really.

Some favourites:

Sigur Ros
Radiohead
Explosions In The Sky
Eluvium
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Brand New
Bright Eyes
Bon Iver
Burial
This Will Destroy You
Modest Mouse
Elliott Smith
Animal Collective

Music is probably my favourite 'thing' in life, absolutely love it.

I'll listen to most things apart from the really, really heavy metal.

Depends completely on my mood - Ranges from pop to rock to classical to dance.

Favorite composer is John Williams - love most of his stuff, like a lot of the Beethoven, Vivaldi, Mozart stuff too.

I'm forced to listen to Radio1 in the office all day and after Moyles finishes at 10am it gets a little boring and repetitive so I soon get bored of their playlist.

Classic 70s/80s rock, love Lynryd Skynrd's Free bird (my favorite guitar solo).

I also really like Nirvana's Nevermind album, got into that at school post cobain's suicide though, another sad loss.

I agree the new take that album is fab, all three of their chart releases have been great this year - patience was fab as was Rule the World.

Just completely depends on my mood as to whether its Mika or John Williams or Mark Knoppler though.

Weird aren't I?

Hmm im one for a random mix of music as well..at the moment im liking
Michael Buble
Scouting for Girls
The Goo Goo Dolls
Mika
Take That
James Morrison
Sarah McLachlan
Journey
Def Leppard
Guns n Roses
Howie Day
Counting Crows
and loads more that i wont bore you with :p

Hmmm... abit of this, and a bit of that, but absolutely NO manufactured 'pop' (ie most of the chart stuff). Give me a real band anyday!
Predominantly rock/metal, but I can also do Motown, soul and old stuff too :)
Faves at the mo are:
Breaking Benjamin (can't get enough of them)
Disturbed
Skid Row & various other 80's hair metal bands
Goo Goo Dolls
RHCP etc...

The The
Bruce Sprinsteen
R.E.M (early years)
The Police
U2 (early years)
The Cult
The Cure
Deacon Blue
David Grey
ACDC

Like Mini, loved Skid Row, and much berated for it by my guitarist friends...

Anything like that, Motley Crue, Maiden (got tickets for Twickenham.) Metallica , Megadeth etc.

Floyd, Foo Fighters, Ozzy etc.

Don`t mind a bit of trance or house stuff either.

The band that I`ve always been into though is Thunder. Great band, I`ve seen them from the very beginning I must`ve seen them about twenty times live now and have never had a duff gig.

I like most music, but the 80's is my favorite. and northern soul used to go to birmingham on a suday for all dayers :woot:. do like a bit of robbie though!

Dylan
Springsteen
Jackson Browne
Ryan Adams
Einaudi
Kate Rusby
Steve Earle
Neil Young
Bob Seger

I have just been listening to Sigur Ros which I am really enjoying at the moment.

Chris :)

^^^ Ryan Adams, Dylan and Neil Young are all amazing. 29 by Ryan Adams is one of my favourite albums ever.

Petemc, you have a nice music taste too. I noticed Yoshihisa Hirano and Hideki Taniuchi in your top artists, I have the Death Note Anime OST and love it. Nice to see artists such as Coldplay, Radiohead, Moby, Feist etc in your list too. I've tried getting into J-pop/rock a couple of times but I never really liked it enough to get more. I can't remember the artists that I listened to.

I see you like soundtracks. Which are your favourite? Are you familiar with Clint Mansell's work? I'm guessing you are. I think his work is simply fantastic. My favourite soundtracks have to be The Fountain OST (Destroys everything else imo), Requiem For A Dream, and Amelie.

I love some minimalism/piano music too. Phillip Glass is excellent, as is Steve Reich.

Fav tracks are Du Hast, Seeman and Ohne Dich. I love playing bass along to this. Seeman takes a bit of doing but it's great once I mastered it.

Buck Dich, Reise Reise, Mein Teil and Du Richt so Gut are also great fun on the bass. I fact I'm currently saving up for a Sandberg Terra bass, the one Oliver Riedel plays. It's an awesome beast of an instrument.

You have put the question to me that is endless, but here is a few

Emienem
50 Cent
Jay-Z

Bon Jovi - Best
Aerosmith - Second best
The Who -
Nickleback -

Chaz and Dave

Bowling For Soup
Sum41

That is all i can write at the moment :)

 Tony

Its quite hard to get into because of the lack of coverage here. I'd love to be able to watch MTV Japan. All their websites are in Japanese, obviously, but its hard to find new artists.

Hmm faves. Pretty much anything by Hans Zimmer. Amelie is brilliant too.

Counting Crows
great band if you disount anything that isnt august and everything after, recovering the satalites or this desert life, which are three superb albums, hard candy was when it all went wrong, the only stand out track on that album was holiday in spain. and that truely aweful cover of big yellow taxi...

amazing band to see live, although some of adams lyrics strike me as "ohh **** what rhymes with this" for example "her kindness bangs a gong, shes moving me along" what was he thinking!

ive only got drunk enough to dance by them but its actually a really good album, there were very few bands back in 2000 skate punk music who could actually put a whole album worth of music that you would actually listen to nowadays, i find that bowling for soup and american hifi are the only 2 id actually listen to now im a bit older

Skate punk. I`ve got a load of Suicidal Tendencies CD`s. Seen them a couple of times, odd band, they`re the only band I`ve ever seen where the lead guitarist played a solo standing at the top of a pair of stepladders in the middle of the stage!

Quite possibly the most dangerous gig for moshing I`ve ever been to! LOL.

most dangerous gig ive been to was probably anti flag, venue was packed and me and another lad were stranded infront of the barrier taking pictures on a "3 songs" basis, but it was impossible to get out of the pit so we just stayed and watched and shot away, band were great, really playing to the camera and even better was the nice lass who kept playing with my hair in the front row :)

The Floyd. Favourite track, Comfortably Numb.
Chris Rea..........................On the Beach
Peter Gabriel.....................Signal to noise
The Beatles...................... Mr Moonlight

Tangerine dream
Elo
