Re. the blade being found or not, as is usual with the media, one paper said it wasn't found and another said it was.............I tend to believe the one that said it was.

Re. the size of the blade on the back of the truck...

Modern WTG's are up to 125m tall - that's from ground to the tip of the blade when it's at its highest point. With a 125m tall turbine, in most cases from ground to hub height (the nacelle) you're looking at 80m - take that off the 125m tip height and you get 45m.

Measure 45m out in your street and you'll see it's a bluddy long way hence the length of the turbine blade on that truck. ;)

According to the report on the Beeb the blade was found nearby, that was an interview with a man from the company involved in the turbines themselves and investigating the situation. I've also heard, through an Astro site, the images captured are of sun dogs (they look like rainbow lights in the sky), I've not seen them, but I believe the people that did and state they are sundogs.
