So....Up or Down

Saw this the other day.

Given the cat's tail is raised like that I'd say it was coming down the steps. That's how my cats do it anyway.

Also the return on a step tends to be on the face of the step rather than the bit you step on.

I would say down, because the front edge of the tread usually protrudes over the top of the riser. If it was the other way, it would be a trip hazard.

That's what I thought when I first looked but, if that was the case, it looks like there's a wall at the top.

Or is it a ceiling... Or a floor? Is the dress at the bottom of the page blue, gold, black or white or a combination of all 6?

(Down IMO FWIW!)

This.
Forget the cat....the steps just scream "down" to me :-)

I see what you mean with the shape of the stairs but that bottom/top looked like a floor to me

Neither.

It's on a floor that looks like steps but is actually flat. :D

Err, going down is my guess.

Down - the cats tail is up using it for balance ,they don't do that going up

Ours does if she's sauntering up the stairs - but she's a bit odd!
