Yes
Chris bought me a bag of Cajun Squirrel the other day. I have not been able to bring myself to try them :'(

Things took a turn for the worse last night when I awoke from a nightmare about Red Squirrels. They were everywhere, they were using props and posing for shots, some holding signs saying [S3]Save our squirrels from Walkers the murderous crisp makers[/S3] and [S3]Will work for crisp manufacturer pardon[/S3]. :( They were so damned cute, and there was this one guy who sat right in front of me enabling my use of my 18-55mm kit lens. He held up a red umbrella (to compliment his dashing red coat of course) and posed like a model. Crystal clear eyes, shiny red coat and a wonderful natural smile .... I woke up with the cat sat next to me playing with the un opened bag. She was obviously having fun with the noise it made ... or was she trying to free the trapped squirrel within? :'(

Now I have calmed from my nightmare, I found the strength to lift the bag to check the ingredients. I cringed and read through squinty eyes in case I read that one ingredient I didn't want to read ... But worse! It lists everything, but one ingredient is very vague; 'Flavourings' not 'Innocent none squirrel flavourings' but vague 'Real squirrel flavourings made from dried squirrel meat. Usually grey squirrel, but at times of shortage (which will inevitably happen once the flavour takes off and we have used all grey squirrel reserves), red squirrel' :'(.

Having said all that, the fish and chips one I tried today were nice :D

Yes I know, I'm :cuckoo:

Fish and chip ones were alright. Cajun squirrel were alright but a bit flavourless.
Hoisin Duck ones were nice.

And you call that a nightmare?

On second thoughts, I'll wait for the image to be posted at nature photography, and the subsequent postings along the lines of:

"nice image but it would have been better with an L lens costing 20x as much":nono:

Yes, suddenly I see what you mean:cuckoo:

The Builders Breakfast ones sounded interesting. They had a few bags open in the canteen to try today but due to my hungover state I stayed clear

Cajun Squirrel........how the hell do they know what squirrel tastes like?

Squirrel is actually very nice, and is served in some country's in resturants.

URGGGHHHH i had a pack of the duck ones and they were naaaassstttyyy... builders breakfast is the only one i can see being edible

It's about time they restored the natural balance and made cheese and onion in green packets and salt and vinegar in blue packets. Like it used to be.

Steve.

What really....looks like it would be really stringy not much meat....maybe we should start serving gray squirrel that would drop the gray population a bit

i dont understand why you would kill something thats not really going to provide you with much nurishment just to call it a "delicacy"... makes no sence to me

on the other hand blue salt n vinegar is something that does need to happen :D

You get a decent sized fillet from one for one person, and is quite tender.

I take it you dont eat fish then? The protein content is actually quite high, and is no different to catching and eating a fish.

Is it Hoisin Duck

Or Poison Duck :p

Not tried them myself though. Want to try them. They sound interesting.

I was in the shop yesterday and asked for some helicopter ones, shopkeeper said we don't have that flavour, i said ok i 'll just have plane then, ok i'm gone :coat:

Jo, your dream reminded me of one I had a couple of weeks back. I dreamt I was plucking feathers from robins and preparing them for roasting in the oven... needless to say I woke in a cold sweat, but had a strange curiosity of what they'd taste like :(

I tried the duck flavour....not bad.

But the "Builders Breakfast"....YUK! Yes it actually tasted likea fry up....cold leftovers

I dont like Walkers-----Pringles--now youre talking.
Pete.

Funny you should say that but i very very rarely eat anything that comes out of the ocean. I will have some parrot fish every so often, but the only other fish i eat is tuna... :D

no but really....chilli n chocolate!!! :gag:

Don't think much of the builders breakfast, the fish and chip flavour ones are well, too fishy the cajun squirrel ones were OK, the onion bhaji are the nicest ones I've had so far.

Here here.
I swear Pringles have heroin or something in them, because when I start on them, I can stop. I got to have more until the whole tube have gone :D
Even if I'm absolutely bloated......

I've not tried the new flavours, but have you had the ones that they bring out over the festive period?

We've just had all the new flavours delivered in my shop... So I'm testing :) Onion Bhaji gets a big thumbs up from me :D And I'm glad to see "no squirrels were harmed in the making of these crisps" on the back of the Cajun Squirrel ones :)

:agree: 100%

I reckon they're washed in MSG or something.

I dunno... all this fuss over a bit of sliced and fried potato, which at the end of the day is one of the unhealthiest "foods" going... ;)

Don't suppose we could have a politician flavour, made from real politicians? :D

I've tried the Weezel and elderberry ones. Not bad!

I'm torn between the Chilli and Choc and Onion Bahji as my fav. Will have to do a "crisp off" today ;)

Wasn't over impressed with the choc'n'chilli ones. Not much chocolate flavour and only a hint of warmth from the chilli. Going to try the squirrel ones and the onion budgies next. (Don't like salt and vinegar crisps so will give the fish'n'chips ones a miss)
