Driving some 'Hens' out to Nottingham for a Hen party tonight. Cleaning my Car tomorrow ready for Sundays trip to Santa Pod for the Performance Vauxhall Show.

Going out tonight to celebrate my 16th wedding anniversary, Saturday will see me at the beach in the morning, then got a 50th wedding anniversary party to attend with camera - sort of working guest, but as the husband has cancer and is very close to death there will be a fair bit of sadness about the event, then Sunday proccessing and sorting the pictures into photobook form as a present for the couple - got to be quick about it, things are that bad..

Its a shame im going away to my van!! we could have arranged a meet.. have fun at Wembley.. its not far from me..

Watching EURO 2008 if i remember, attempting to do something with my camera would be nice for this weekend and not my usual sleep too much doing nothing when i am awake routine lol

Tonight, going to a party, awaiting a call to see if I need my camera - get leathered.
Saturday very early, Donington with a mate.

sunday night from 9 till 10, i may have a rest.

Betty - surely a 16th wedding anniversary can't be so bad................
Seriously, the 50th is a sad do - everyone knows that the guy is about to croak, except him. They moved out to Spain to enjoy their retirement, he got cancer a year later, and treatment has now ceased....
Anyway, I shall take pictures, then drink beer and wine, and flirt as much as I can with old women - the only ones who don't run away when I approach...

Initially I was thinking of going with the young-one to watch Boy-Zone (is that how they're spelled) perform in Cardiff; but I had to rule that out as I can't put-up with the sound (my body resonates badly).

Then I thought of goingto Sheffield, haven't been there in decades and thought it may be worht while taking a tour there. Cancelled that.

It seems I have to get serious and start work on my Master's desertation ... if I don't get started on this I will never finish .. so, this weekend I hope to have quality time alone to do some write-up

Same as always...I am very routinised and a real creature of habit, so my usual 45 mins exercise, wander round town and down to the waterfront, coffee shop trawl with a recently made friend and home again...will be more interesting next weekend once my camera gear is all here.

Saturday morning - getting ready for our Hawaiian party in the afternoon/evening.

Sunday - recovering.

Flugtag, courtesy of another kind TP'er who donated his ticket! :)

Maybe finish pointing the stone wall I've been doing all week while on holiday.
If toging it will have to be VERY local, trying to cut down even more on car usage.

Well, i ended up going to Cardiff for a while, had to come back home after I started to get a pancrease attack :gag:  and am trying to control the pain while I read something that interest me.

How did it go for others? I hope better than mine .. though you'd be hard pressed to beat mine for a slumpy weekend :)

As I mentioned earlier, I was taking pictures at a 50th wedding anniversary party, where the husband has only a few weeks left to live, due to cancer. It seems that everyone knows except him.
I was hit so hard at the love and closeness, the strength and just how easy it is to not live life to the full, maybe till it is too late. I had to stop taking pictures a few times as it was too intrusive, and because I was crying (as I am now) - not that it was a sad event - they boogied for hours, and even a herd of goats came to join in. A great time was had, and I just want to say that as there seem to be a fair few here who are having it hard at present - Grab today and enjoy it. Then do the same tomorrow.
While I can't post pictures of the party for obvious reasons, this picture seemed to say something - the guy doing the 'entertainment' finished his set, and hung his hat on the mic stand - something fairly final, yet full of glitter and fun.
