I was sat at work yesterday and thought...'must resist the temptation to leave and take photographs'.....but the pull was ttttoo much so I left.

Decided to drive out to Roundhay Park in Leeds.

I didn't notice the lighting change until I stopped and looked. WOW, it was magnificent. The colours were astonishing and I managed to get some great shots.

It may not have been 'the' magic hours as it was a bit early (18.00), but it was my magic hour!

It's the day after and I'm still buzzing with excitement.

I'll be leaving work early more often....:D

(although in fairness, I was around 10 miles away from the OP at that time, and it WAS rather nice... I'd certainly have been happier in Roundhay park than where I was stuck, that's for sure...)

Good set  particularly like the reflection ones. Iain

I love the swan picture! Total newbie looking to get into photography, did you use any particular settings for these photos?

Its a good feeling when it all comes together eh? :)

I'm liking the first and the swan. The first may have been better in landscape though.

Hi, it's all new to me too and I'm still in the trial and error(s) stage.

For the swan I believe I was in manual mode with ISO 100, 175mm, f5.3 and 1/160 sec.

And,thanks Beau.

BTW,just returned from Roundhay Park again and the light was no where near as good as last week....
