I have two Camera straps for my Fuji X10 one genuine and one no name, but I find them both too bulky and uncomfortable. I also don't like the little metal fitting that are needed to thread the straps through, then hook through the metal eyelet strap fittings. I don't like the idea of metal against metal. My simple solution was to use a good strong bootlace that has never been used, cost me something silly like 30p a pair. Bit of PVC tape on the ends to tidy things up, and it's nice simple and discreet.

Already done a walk about the busy City Centre with the camera on this strap (Bootlace) , nice and discreet getting both Video and Photos, wearing a dark shirt un noticeable :)

Some bootlaces are very unreliable and rot easily and others are very strong.
I use bootlaces for boots and paracord (available in many colours) for camera hand straps and neck straps. Actually, I use para cord for bootlaces too! YMMV.

Should be paying a visit to Abakhan fabrics soon with the missus, might have something like that there. Thanks for the tip :)

I dont know how heavy the Fuji is but it's similar to my G12, i wouldn't use a bootstrap. More likely to dig into my neck over the course of the day and unreliable. I use a wrist strap which means it's still secure but easy to carry.

The Fuji X10 is pretty light, walked about with it all morning and hardly noticed it, as it did not dig into my neck. I will keep my eyes open for a more suitable cord.
