Hay guys saved up a good amount of money now and next weekend I. Should be able to buy some lenses I'm going with Sigma over Canon because of bang for buck if you will. I think i have covered just about all the lenses I'm going to need or use for now.

The lenses im getting
Sigma APO MACRO 150mm F2.8 EX DG HSM

Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 EX DG MACRO / This is going to replace my Canon 17-85mm IS as i don't use the lens.

Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM

I will be looking to add the new Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM when its out to buy as long as its cheap.

So I wont next week end to come around fast lol please note I'm not trying to brag or show of as I know there cheap lenses and just about any Canon L lens would cost at lest 2 times the amount. I just wonted to tell people that have the same hobby as me.

Well that sounds bloody exciting to me. The only one I have first hand of is the 150 and I know for certain it's worth getting all pleased as punch about. :)

So if all is well my lens list would look like this.
10-20mm
24-70mm I went with this over the 17-70mm as its meant to be a better lens
70-200mm
150mm

Did have a setback to day as the clutch went on the car so that's why next week should be the big day.

Yep - nice selection there!

Hay m8 if ure close to me you can all ways come have a play with it for a bit no problem.
Im in Birmingham

Ok I placed my first order today I payed more then I wonted to but I did get .
A free 18mth extended warranty on each lens and i guse the warranty is a good thing.

Anyway i bought
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM (Canon Mount) £279.95
Sigma AF24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro (Canon Mount) £238.95

The same lenses from onestop-digital would have cost me
Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM (Canon Mount) £249.99
Sigma AF24-70mm F2.8 EX DG Macro (Canon Mount) £219.99

So i payed £518.90 for Uk spec lenses with full UK Sigma cover and a 18mth extended warranty. With out the above from onestop-digital i would have saved £48.92 so i think it did ok what you guys think ?

i didnt realise sigma were bringin out a fiddy? awesome!!!
great list there mate, bet u cant wait

hard to say as you can pick the canon 50mm f1.4 up new for about £150 and sigma tend to be less money. Im hopeing around £150

Yer looks as if it could be a sweet lens.
Payment left my bank account but on there system it says Status processing so hope they get sent out tomorrow.

Yer will do m8 as I have had to spend more it dont look like I can now get the.
Sigma 150mm macro till the end of the mth bit gutted about that but oh well.

Think I could have a problem just looked up the place I bought my lenses from a place called. Purely Gadgets and all I keep seeing is there bad really bad . My Status is still saying processing over 24 hours later this may be fine but when the money has left my bank account with in 10 minutes of placing the order. I would expect my item to be at this point to be on its way out are at lest ready to be picked up tomorrow. I have phoned them up 2 times to day first at around 9.35am and the guy did not wont to know at all. The second time was about 5ish. This guy was OK and said that he cant tell me any more as on his system it just shows up as processing. He told me to phone up tomorrow if the Status is still showing as processing. I think that if its still showing as Processing at the end of tomorrow i we send them a email and cancel my order and go with one stop.

What payment method did you use?

It's probably fine Slim, these people are unlikely to hold the stock themselves but just have your order fulfilled from a more specialist supplier. It could take a while for the info to filter back to their system. Certainly too early to panic.

I've ordered stuff (not camera gear but general electronic stuff) from places like this and had the goods arrive before the online info got past go. :)

Thanks for the words im hopeing it will be ok just not good when the only Reviews you can find about the site are bad ones. But at the same time you dont tend to find sites saying how good a place is.

You will have to let me know how you get on with this site as i was thinking about ordering the same lens or the Tamron 17-50 from them.

To be fair there are plenty of glowing reviews HERE

The less complimentary reviews seem to be on the basis of tardy delivery times, but they seem a large reputable firm and as Daz said, I doubt they always have the items in stock and get them in on demand.

That looks like a good revies site but guse time will tell ill give them till next week anyway.

Sigma lenses have an international warranty, and you can upgrade it to a 3 year warranty for free on their website

If you don't pay VAT on sigma lenses they wont honour the international warranty. The only way they will is if you have payed vat/duty on imported lenses. This is what i was told buy Sigma when i phoned them. That's why i went with
PurelyGadgets over Onestop as with PurelyGadgets i have payed VAT on the lenses so inported or not i should be able to send the lenses in. I hope so anyway as onestop was cheaper and looks like much faster to send out the lenses lol.

I can't vouch for the others, but that 24-70mm you will NOT regret! Lovely lens - mine gets used loads.

Enjoy - I hope your issue with the supplier turns out to be nothing to worry about.

sweet hope so as its going to be the walkaround lens along side the 10-20mm. for days out. around the sea side and so on.

Are you sure you payed VAT on these lenses as i'm fairly sure purely gadgets sell grey imported goods, which could be another reason why they don,t have them in stock

Took them forever to deliver my 24-120 VR. 'Bout 10 days I think,... They delivered though, so nothing lost.
