Well, my Mondeo is on its way out, i was on my way for a day out last Monday when i'd decided to pop into the ford garage to find out about a rattle that had started a few days earlier, turns out the fly wheel is on its way out and costs upwards of £1k to fix, decided it was new car time :D

I take delivery on Tuesday of this.....

It's an Audi A3 Sportback 2.0T FSi (200bhp). (DSG version)

It has loads of extras inc. leather, dvd, sat nav, bose sound system, bluetooth, infact roughly 5-6k worth of 'extras'.

cost to me just short of 11k inc. £2.5k px for my mondeo so 8.5k :D

I can't wait till tuesday to pick her up :D

Very nice indeed.
Really looks the business.
Dean:)

Nice, I'm after one of the slightly older S3's next year :)

Mmm.. nice.. iv got an Audi.. they are so reliable..

oh no another audi for me to have to flash out of the fast lane :)

how much was the mazda behind it? i think i would have gone for that one.

My mate'll sell you his RX-8 cheap, just needs a bit of tlc.....it burst into flames (without any help) whilst sitting on his driveway - apparently it's quite a common party trick of the model

That Audi looks like a right nice bit of kit :)

ahhh yeah i heard about that.. its a built in mazda feature. when you want a new car you just press the self destruct timer, blow the car up, claim the insurance and buy a new car.. saves all the trouble of trading it in etc

Congrats. Hope you had it AA inspected for peace of mind. Thoroughly check the DSG too - it can be a weak spot on Audis.

I've got a 2 year unlimited warranty included, excludes wear and tear (exhaust, tyres etc obviously), so should be fine, i did test it when i test drove it and it all seemed fine with no funny noises / behaviour. The garage is a big company (network Q) but i've done a HPI check online and it all came back clear :D

:o

Didn't you get the price down??? :o

Really do like those audis, albeit i bought a ford focus for a similar price instead at the beginning of the year.

I tried, they would not budge, but i got a decent price for my (knackered) mondeo, and that car above is well below parkers book price (14000)

Even looked on autotrader for a similar specced one and there simply isn't one with leather AND satnav, let alone all the other stuff, closests i could find to mine was also priced at £14000.

Great :)

One final thing, check if it has a cambelt (I think they do) and when it needs replacing. Can be a £400+ job on Audi's and they have a reputation for breaking early on some Audi models after 60k miles.

already checked the cam belt, not due for 25k miles, tried blagging them to change that too haha.

Lovily car
I am looking at getting one some time next year :D should of got the A3 4 years ago when i got my new car but i was 20 and the insurance was alot more than on my Astra so :(

that's a really nice solid car, hope you have many trouble free miles and the warranty sounds good to, is it a diesel or petrol,

Regards Mark.

I wouldn't have considered it without a warranty, it's a 2.0 Turbo petrol engine.
