Hah, well my wife and I just got our offer accepted on a house. We love it, has a massive inside but the best thing is that the 3rd floor is an open space of 22'x12' My first thought is to turn this into my new office and im thinking that I could actually fit a studio up there. I'd say the cealing is around 8' high.

Think this would be enough for a basic setup?

Congratulations on the new house, 22ft x 12ft x 8ft high thats a veritable warehouse :) ive seen studios in much smaller spaces, I think that should be absolutley fine, im converting half my garage at the moment which is 15ft X 9ft X 8ft ish, its small but workable

Brilliant Congrats on the house buy!

Loads of room for the studio and editing station there :) perfect :)

If you go ahead, then get some pics up!!

Will be going ahead 100% ;)

I do want to add my office up there as well and part of the room is taken up in stairs coming up but its not huge. The other cool thing is that there is a 10'x6' room off to the side which would work as an equipment room/dressing room.

Currently a lot of my simple studio stuff revolves around white boards, a white wall and speedlights.
So i'll be trying to find the best, cheap setup studio which would give me good results.

Im thinking two stands, a cross pole and then paper all from ebay for around £60 then find some lights...

I'd really think about getting a bracket on the wall instead if the wall can support it, great space saver and looks much better

interesting, thanks guys. I'll check to see if the wall can take it. These are only £53 so are they actually any good?

erm,.... lucky git :)

heres me stuck in a crappy council house as i cant get no the property ladder :(

House was pretty cheap but has nothing inside we are doing the whole freecycyle thing and living like skwatters until we can afford nice stuff. Although the studio should look sexy ;)
