So I finally got an MP3 player

or to be more precise my wife did.

What's the best way to copy music to it? Create folders for different groups? Just copy them all into one big folder? Can it sort them out itself? I'm clueless with this thing :shrug:

What are you using? If its an ipod its all automatic. Did it come with any bundled software?

It's a Phillips SA31, only software with it was for converting video files.

Should say I'm okay with the conversions, it's just the organisation side of things which is confusing me

I have a folder for the group then sub folders for albums for my ipod, keeps things rational for me, and i need all the help i can get Not sure how the philips works though mate, same sort fo thing should work ok on it ?

Organize the music on your pc in folders that make sense and then transfer the whole lot in one go.

The all seem to work the same as has been said.

I tried looking on google for some answers but came up with none, either I was using the wrong search terms or its easy (for someone)

There are loads of free MP£ conversion tools out there you can use to rip / organize your music. I do it the 'old fashioned' way , seperate rip programe then drag / drop but my kids use Windows media player. It rips / stores & transfers the music to the MP3 player and is pretty easy to use.
