Im a bit of a film fan, and unfortunately for my Missus, that includes really cheesy 'made for tv' (Syfy channel specifically), monster/disaster movies. Who could forget such classics as 'Dinoshark v Sharktopus' and 'Dinoshark v Supergator'?!?!?!

Tonight, at 9:00pm on the Syfy channel, is a film about a tornado that is sweeping across the US (where else), that has picked up hundreds of sharks as it has moved along. Cue flying shark based carnage.

The genius part of this, is the film title. Its called 'Sharknado'......For pure tongue in cheek, fun entertainment tonight, this must be watched. It will be in my house anyway :cuckoo::thumbs:

Love a s*** film me ;)

Been listening to Radio 1? Scott Mills has been babbling on about this and had Tara Reid on his show earlier.

No, I saw a trailer for it last night. It looks terrible....which is good

Sharknado - Enough said!

:D

I might watch it, but i'm not a fan of this particular type of nonsense. I did watch one where the shark was trapped on a ship or something, but cant find the details. It was only fun because I was working away and was facebooking friends who were also watching it at home.

It sounds to me like you are very tempted by this one :D

I tell ya what. I'll be watching Celebrity Masterchef at 8, so if anyone cooks with shark in that, then i'll watch Sharknado ;)

On the strength of the thread I've just set Sky+ to record Sharknado

It better be really bad

Already memes about this all over facebook. With people trying to out-do the idea:

For the "so bad it's good" classics - will never forget 'Night of the Lepus' and it's killer bunnies :D

LOL it wont have to try to hard to be better than Snakes on a Plane......

Must try to find a copy of Blood Beach...

Sharknado shall be watched!

Sounds like my kind of movie have just set it up to record...

I've had my sky box set to record for nearly a week. I love Straight to SyFy nonsense :D

"Mom, I found a man's weiner on the beach!"

Not forgetting the little terrier!!!

I can't take anymore!!!! Really messing with my head :D

Obviously filmed in a parallel universe where the laws of dimension and gravity are completely different to ours :D

A great midweek beer and popcorn escape!!

That was so bad it had gone beyond "So bad it's got to be good" to plain old crap! Still watched it to the end though!!! The writer should be hanged for the line "We need a bigger helicopter" in particular and the special effects weren't up to much. How many times did they use the shot of the flare being lit? Even if they did turn it through 45 degrees or so for one use.

Awful wasnt it :D

I especially liked the ending with the chainsaw

Just goes to show that all you need to sort a dysfunctional family is enough flying sharks and a chainsaw.......... :)

A blonde mom who looks the same age as her son helps. A little (didn't JD enjoy her company in Scrubs?)

I think the whole of the male staff at Sacred Heart enjoyed Ms Locklear's company but she was a drug company rep. IIRC, the mom in Sharknado was Dr Cox's wife's younger sister.

Yup, thanks to a combination of Google and Wiki, I've found Tara Reid... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tara_Reid

:cuckoo:

Saw a clip in "The Daily Show" with sharks falling from the sky, one of them bites an arm of a man in the fall... could have been from this marvellous film?

Good Lord... :bang:

Oops! Spoiler alert! :D

Thank you for reminding me... CM... Although now I'm curious about flying sharks! Record maybe

I've got this thing recorded to watch tonight.
Can't stand Tara Reid though, she comes across as a total bimbo in the interview she did with Director Anthony Ferrante over at Dread Central.

The sequel has now been given the go ahead. Sharknado 2 The Second One.
Wish Asylum/SyFy would make nice desktop wallpapers for their movies, some of the promo art/DVD covers are really cool.

Heads-up!!!

Just in case anyone here are able to take the danish DR3 TV channel, then this masterpiece is on the air tonight! Sharknado!

I'm so excited!

Don't be!

I lasted 20 minutes... most stupid thing, I've ever seen.

Gotta be among the worst "films" ever! :D
